Hello class,
My name is David Miller and I have no clue what year I am currently. I am a transfer student from our sister community college from across the river, Broome Tech, and there is still a bit of confusion as far as credit hours go; but none the less, I have been announcing myself as a junior here at Binghamton University. Although my major is cinema (and many might stereotype the common ambitions of a cinema student), I like to seperate myself from these traits, for my main focus is on the engineering, construction, and maintence of anything/everything film and video related.
Yes, this class did interest me due to its up-to-date mass communication topics. I have been focusing much of my time and cinema projects into concepts derived from the very idea of cyberspace and how it has begun to absorb the population that uses it; from the basic interaction between cyber relations to a more literal aspect of the physical human body entangled within it. I am hoping this class will present new ideals and give me a better understanding about the communication in the world we live in today and how to navigate through it all.
I tend to be more on the quiet side, thats just who I am. So, I am looking forward to communicating within the workshops, and of course virtually on the blogs.
