My Favorite Blog
Out of all the blogs I read, TechCrunch is by far my favorite because it is the best place to find analysis and coverage of breaking technology news, particularly concerning startup companies. I check my RSS reader for TechCrunch feed updates before any other news blog because they cover the most important technology news and the most interesting startups. The information they provide is almost like "background knowledge" for those following the development of new Internet technologies, so in some ways you literally need to read it in order to keep up with others in the "Web 2.0" industry. They even have exclusive invites to brand new websites and web apps, so you can get a taste of new services before anyone else and continue using the ones that you like. Since there is a huge audience of readers similar to me, many startup companies pursue getting covered on TechCrunch because it is a great place to get early adopters and buzz. And finally, there is a great community of readers that include brilliant entrepreneurs, programmers, and executives who use their real names when they post incredibly insightful comments on TechCrunch posts.
