I was impressed with the Social Network. It was a highly entertaining box office hit that stayed surprisingly true to the actual events. Of course it also had the aspect of the protagonist learning valuable life lesson; if you're an asshole, even an incredibly smart asshole, you're going to end up alone and unhappy. In this movie, Zuckerberg is not portrayed in the best light. he creates fashmash.com out of spite after a break up with his girlfriend. The website allowed students to anonymously compare the female student body at Harvard. Zuckerberg basically steals the idea for facebook from the Winklevoss twins, and cheats his former best friend out of his fair share of the profits.
i liked the metaphor at the end of the movie, even though he created this hugely successful and incredibly social network with millions of active users he still ends up siting alone continuously refreshing the page waiting for that girl to accept his friends request. I was really impressed how close the storyline for the Social Network was to the actual creation of facebook. Pretty much everything was accurate apart from the the break up. Zuckerburg has an a steady girlfriend for many years. Over all I enjoyed the Social Network, I find it entertaining and well worth the money.
