LexisNexis

LexisNexis is a database containing information centering around contemporary news stories and records pertaining to the business community. However, it also has articles and journals on lesser “subject areas,” including environmental studies and health and medical care. It offers six major search engines on its main page, separating them into the categories of news, legal cases, companies, countries and people. It also includes a combined search. It is a site dedicated to presenting information from all parts of the world, as evidenced by the diversity of the news publications. The database also covers a fairly long period of time; the earliest articles date from 1980 and the latest ones are as new as a few hours old. This website is useful for finding papers, journal articles and other resources to provide supporting information for research papers, or for finding specific news and information on a topic of interest.
