Globalization

In the globalization website, the definition is "Globalization broadly refers to the expansion of global linkages, the organization of social life on a global scale, and the growth of a global consciousness, hence to the consolidation of world society." It exists on economy, culture, politics and our daily life. Globalization is the inexorable trend of world developing. My personal experiences of globalization is the distance in the world becomes smaller. I wear the clothes made in vietnam while I bought it in America. I saw my friends photos who is in Australia on Facebook. In the morning , I am in New York but later I show up in Tokyo at night. Globalization provides the possibility to contact each other immediately by ignoring space and distance.

However, Pippa Norris, in his article " Information poverty and the Wired World" give the point that " there is considerable concern worldwide that the explosion of the Internet may leave many nations far behind, producing growing disparities between advanced industrialized and developing societies." That the existing problem due to globalization. It increase the worldwide polarization because some parts of the world do not have adequate ability to take part in globalization. In that case, developed countries get benefits in globalization but some developing countries fall behind the pace.
