"The Social Network" Critique

The Social Network movie was an informative movie. But there was certain things that I found could have been done better and some things were too greatly exaggerated. The story was told from flashback scenes. Seeing how recent movies have been doing this type of narrative; this way of telling the story was not very appealing. Certainly there have been movies that utilized this method worse. But I feel if the story was told in a more straight forward fashion it would have certainly be better.
The things that were over exaggerated was the amount of knowledge required to created a website like Facebook. Being a former computer science major I found that the process of making the website was conveyed as being a difficult task. This is not necessarily true. The only difficult part in this whole process was probably the ability to attract people to use the website you created in a world where other social networking sites exist. Certainly some new functions probably attracted people to Facebook from other previous websites. If the movie explained in more detail how Facebook was able to obtain that many users would have attracted me more into watching it.
