Me, Myself, and I

Blogging was something I've always wanted to do but never got around to doing. So I suppose there can't be any better way of starting it than this. My name is Brandon Lee and I'm a Sophomore here at Binghamton University. I plan on majoring in MIS and am hoping to transfer into School of Management to do so. Being quite the "netizen" for the majority of my lifetime, I have developed a vast, but ambiguous perspective on the realm of global media and communication. In taking this course, I am hoping that the ideas and views I have manifested throughout my experience with the Internet can be put into good use in contributing to the class.

In terms of hobbies, I suppose the best way to describe myself is to simply say that I like to do anything that is creatively expressive. To name some, I enjoy producing/performing music (guitar/piano), graphic designing, photography, dancing, and filming/editing. I produce anything from electronic to hip-hop to rock as well as do modern/hip-hop dancing. While sometimes I wish I had an extraordinary talent in just one activity, I find the diversity of my interests to accompany my expressive nature quite well. A lot of what I do has led me to use websites such as YouTube, Facebook, and DeviantArt (for graphic design). While Facebook is nice to have for some socializing and time killing, I also like to use it in conjunction with YouTube to show off my productions for friends/YouTubers to comment on and enjoy.

With today's modern digital age, global media has become one with society; it has engulfed the world in its own network of reality and has proven to be a significant part of everyday life. Like I mentioned in the beginning, I haven't gotten around much to blogging but I know of its ubiquitous nature on the net and I hope that it will be something I continue even after this course's end.
