Me, Myself and I

Hello Everyone,

My name is Perla A. Medina and I am currently a Junior at Binghamton University. I am an English Major with a concentration in Global Culture and Rhetoric and Latin American Caribbean Studies with a minor in Women's Studies. I am a writer and I hope to soon pursue my career within the field of Fashion. I love blogging, I consider it one of my hobbies because it is a way in which I can express myself and thoughts and concerns I might have about anything. I write for my very own blog as well as a blog, elleELLEeye and an online publication 21-7magazine.com. Here at Binghamton University I am part of the Latin American Student Union as well as Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International.

I grew up in Manhattan, New York all my life and I also attended school there. New York City has allowed me to expand my horizons, learn from other people and appreciate everyone's diversity. I am a family orientated person and it was a challenge to make the transition from being at home all the time to being away for most of the year.

I hope to gain plenty from this class and also learn more about mass media with the in's and out's.
